She is an owner of two successful Hair Salons and a fully accredited Salon Academy in Northern Alberta, Canada, is an extremely well respected mentor at the High Performance Salon Academy, and still finds the time to travel and truly live a full life with her family.
Passionate about lifting others up, adamant that there is enough of everything to go around, and eager to support her various communities, you will NEVER hear Danielle talk about balancing it all. Since opening The Headroom Salon Company in 2013, my primary focus has always been on cultivating a positive and growth-oriented culture where both my team and guests feel valued. Over the years, I’ve prioritized creating an environment that encourages continuous learning, kindness, and excellence in service. In 2018, I expanded by opening a second location within the same city, which has allowed us to serve more guests while maintaining a close-knit, community-first atmosphere. My goal has always been to build a sustainable business that balances professional development with genuine care for our team and clients.
In 2021, I took a significant step to ensure the longevity and strength of The Headroom by welcoming two master stylists as shareholders, both of whom have been with me nearly since the beginning. Their commitment and deep understanding of our core values have been instrumental in shaping the vision for our growth. My day-to-day involvement remains deeply rooted in supporting the team, fostering our culture of mentorship and continuous improvement, and ensuring that we stay true to our mission of providing guests with the ultimate beauty experience. I am dedicated to evolving alongside my salons, investing in the team’s success, and creating a positive space where everyone can thrive personally and professionally.

THE SALON
As CEO of Peak Beauty Academy, I spend my days focused on building connections, strengthening our programs, and helping shine a light on the beauty industry as a whole. I promote the industry and share stories that inspire both current and future professionals on our podcast and in speaking engagements. I also work closely with our marketing team to create initiatives that highlight our students, our educators, and the value of choosing beauty as a career. One of the parts of my role I care about most is building relationships with salon owners - inviting them into the Academy to share their experience, help influence hands on learning, connect with students, and showcase the incredible talent we have in Grande Prairie. I’m also passionate about developing our alumni program so graduates stay supported and connected long after they finish their foundational training.
Since purchasing the academy in 2022 with my partners Elyse and Bailey, I’ve been guiding and motivating our management team through meaningful improvements. We have replaced all hair stations, upgraded the front desk, built exceptional student kits, brought in brands like Redken, Amika, and Dermalogica, and elevated the education we deliver even more. We’ve also modernized operations by introducing a digital platform for online booking and a scale system for precision colour measurement, giving our students an edge when they enter the workforce. At the heart of everything I do is a genuine respect for the professionals who built this industry. I’m committed to forming strong, trust-based relationships with salon owners, especially those who are established, profitable, and beginning to think about their next chapter. Teaching the next generation is such a beautiful way to ensure your gift lives on, long after you retire. Together we can create pathways, preserve legacies, and continue strengthening the beauty community for the long term.
